Prof. Patel is expert on fermentation and formulation of biologicals and chemicals, especially agrobiologicals such as biological pest control agents where he has been collaborating closely with Prof. Vidal to develop novel co-formulations for entomopathogenic fungi with efficacy-enhancing agents encapsulated with artificial CO2 sources to attract and kill (A&K) soil-borne insect pests

His research focusses on systematic development of formulation materials, methods and production processes to produce novel formulation. This work is closely linked with production of the active ingredient such as fermentation and its application. In order to identify potential collaborations a range of research projects that are conducted in close cooperation with biologists, chemists and physicists will be presented such as
